## About the Role

* Extensive Systems Intergration or technical experience required.

Desired Skills

 * Bachelor's degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or a closely related field
 * Prior experience as spacecraft or mechanical subsystem/component CPE
 * 12+ years' engineering experience- Systems Engineering experience in one or more Systems Engineering functions including:
a.) System trade studies methodology and/or System modeling
b.) Requirements and Verification (DOORS or other Requirements management software experience)

 * c.) Interface Control Document (ICD) development
 * d.) Model Based Systems Engineering (CAMEO or other model management software experience)
e.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
f.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
g.) Design reviews

 * Ability to absorb technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on constrained timelines
 * Experience ensuring the physical compatibility of hardware products throughout the full lifecycle of the program
 * Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering concepts in DOORS and Cameo
 * Demonstrated ability to work in self-directed manner, work independently, and leverage best practices
 * Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems and train others in their application

## Description

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
