## About the Role

AMD is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated engineering leader withstrong people leadership, teamwork skills and strong technical expertiseto manage design of x86 CPUs., * Proven experience leading and developing high performing silicon design engineering teams

 * Demonstrated success leading multiple complex silicon design through tapeout, ideally in a CPU or advanced processor design environment
 * Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to drive design decisions, resolve complex engineering challenges, and collaborate across architecture verification, physical design, and other engineering teams
 * Expertise in computer architecture, processor pipeline and memory hierarchy
 * Experience designing Instruction Set Architecture of a complex microprocessor
 * Extensive experience with RTL and logic design, design methodology, and the silicon development lifecycle
 * Proficiency with scripting and automation languages such as Ruby, Python, or Perl

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

 * BS or MS inEE, CE, or CSand relevant experience

 * Drive project design goals and dependencies with architects, DV, and physical design teams
 * Drive implementation strategy to deliver quality, timely and cost-effective solutions
 * Technical leadership to resolve complex design problems in a dynamic environment
