About the Role. G2 Ops supports mission-critical defense and technology initiatives by solving complex operational and engineering challenges. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Security Engineer to support Cyber Ready cybersecurity and information systems security engineering efforts. In this role, you'll contribute to C4ISR security engineering, system authorization, and cybersecurity risk management activities while working alongside a team that values innovation, technical excellence, and continuous growth., * Experience performing Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) activities. * Experience supporting C4ISR security engineering activities. * Experience supporting DoD system assessment and authorization activities, including IATOs, ATOs, IATTs, and ATCs. * Experience performing system security or network security analysis in classified and unclassified environments. * Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity, information assurance, security controls, and risk management practices. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. * Active DoD Secret Clearance at the start of employment with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance., * Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Administration or other related scientific or technical discipline. * Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework and cybersecurity authorization processes. * Experience supporting security activities across multiple network classification levels, including Unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI environments. * Experience developing or reviewing cybersecurity documentation and system authorization artifacts. * Experience working in cross-functional or customer-facing environments. ## Description * Support information security program implementation and cybersecurity engineering activities within assigned programs and systems. * Perform Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) activities supporting C4ISR systems and mission environments. * Support the development, assessment, and maintenance of cybersecurity requirements throughout the system lifecycle. * Provide technical expertise supporting Interim Authorizations to Test (IATOs), Authorizations to Operate (ATOs), Interim Authorizations to Operate, and Authorizations to Connect (ATCs) for DoD programs. * Perform system security and network analysis across Unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI environments. * Assess security controls, vulnerabilities, technical risks, and compliance gaps and support development of practical remediation actions. * Support Risk Management Framework activities and preparation of cybersecurity documentation and authorization artifacts. * Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, program, and customer stakeholders to resolve security issues and maintain system security posture. * Support security strategy, policy implementation, security awareness, planning, and other activities that reduce organizational and mission risk. * Communicate cybersecurity risks, findings, and recommendations through clear technical documentation and stakeholder engagement.
