We're opening a new NYC office, adding people quickly across NY, LA, and remote teams, and bringing IT support in-house. You'll be the go-to person for everything IT at Pivotal, from a new hire's first login to the conference room screen that won't connect. This is a hands-on role with no direct reports today. You'll build IT from the ground up: set up how we support employees, manage our IT vendors, keep our offices running, and make everyday tech feel effortless. Because we work in healthcare under SOC 2 and HIPAA, you'll also partner closely with our Security Platform team to keep access and devices in good shape., * Own Employee Support & the Help Desk: Be the first person employees go to for IT help, in person in NYC and remotely for everyone else. Own our help desk (FreshService), set up Slack-based triage, write self-serve answers for common issues, troubleshoot macOS and Windows hardware and software, and track recurring issues so fewer of them come back. * Run Onboarding, Offboarding & Access: Make sure new hires are ready on day one and leavers lose access on time. Manage accounts and app access through Rippling, our source of truth for access, and partner with People Ops on the new-hire pipeline and device timing. * Manage Devices & Assets: Buy and provision laptops, monitors, and peripherals, and help move us toward remote (MDM) provisioning. Keep an accurate inventory of who has which device and what spares each office has, and plan hardware needs against the hiring plan so shortages don't slow onboarding. * Keep Our Offices & Conference Rooms Running: Own conference room tech across NY (Neat) and LA (Logitech), including daily room checks. Support Zoom and Google Meet, help standardize meeting rooms on one platform, keep office networking and Wi-Fi running with our network vendor, and be our on-site tech lead as we open and grow the new NYC office. * Administer SaaS Tools & Vendors: Administer core tools including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Notion, Microsoft 365, Asana, Linear, and GitHub. Manage licenses, watch usage, and run regular access reviews. Manage our outsourced IT provider and other IT vendors: decide what to handle in-house and what to escalate, and hold vendors to clear expectations. * Partner on Security: Work with the Security Platform team on device compliance, access reviews, and security awareness rollouts. Security strategy and tooling stay with that team. ## Related Videos - [A Founder's Journey : From Startup Chaos to Purposeful Growth](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1926-a-founder-s-journey-from-startup-chaos-to-purposeful-growth) - [GitOps for the people](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/461-gitops-for-the-people) - [Agentic employees in world's most downloaded FinTech app](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100123-agentic-employees-in-world-s-most-downloaded-fintech-app) - [Improving quality with Agentic AI with Rovo Dev and Xray](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2005-improving-quality-with-agentic-ai-with-rovo-dev-and-xray) - [Navigating the Corporate Jungle: Life as a Developer in a large Company](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/621-navigating-the-corporate-jungle-life-as-a-developer-in-a-large-company) - [Collaboration Quantified: Lessons from Open Source Developer Networks](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1422-collaboration-quantified-lessons-from-open-source-developer-networks) ## Related Articles - [A Guide to Green Tech and Green IT Careers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/374-a-guide-to-green-tech-and-green-it-careers) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Should Tech Managers Be Developers First?
