## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Control Systems, or a related field.
\n

 * Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Control Systems, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus;
\n

 * 15+ years of experience in system engineering, power electronics, energy storage, or related fields;
\n

 * Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with relevant batter storage technologies;
\n

 * Proven track record in leading the development and deployment of large-scale energy storage projects;
\n

 * Strong expertise in BESS architectures, power conversion systems, and battery technologies;
\n

 * Proficiency in system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, PLECS);
\n

 * Experience with EMS, SCADA, and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850);
\n

 * Knowledge of safety, compliance, and grid interconnection standards;
\n

 * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
\n

 * Must have previous experience leading a team with effective communication and leadership abilities;
\n

 * Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment;
\n

 * Strategic thinking with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement; and
\n

 * Must have the ability to travel, up to 50% of the time, with some international travel, as needed.

## Description

The Systems Engineering Manager / Head of Systems Engineering is responsible for leading the systems engineering team and managing the design and development of BESS architectures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This position will work cross-functionally to provide technical leadership in integrating battery, power electronics, energy management, and control systems. Other duties include engaging with customers, partners, and regulatory bodies to align product development and market needs. This is a hands-on, technical leadership role.
