## About the Role

We are seeking a Linux Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux system engineering, automation, and infrastructure monitoring and a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable Linux environments while improving operational efficiency through scripting and tooling., * Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.

 * 5+ years of experience working with Linux operating systems in production.
 * Strong scripting skills in Python, Ruby, Perl, or a related language; proficiency with BASH.
 * Experience with Ping, SSO, and certificate management.
 * Knowledge of automation technologies and DevOps practices.
 * Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments.
 * Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, and Nginx.
 * Solid understanding of configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef.
 * Knowledge of databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2.
 * Experience with application support, web technologies, APIs, and microservices.
 * Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

 * Experience with cloud computing.
 * Experience with open-source application suites such as WordPress or Drupal.
 * Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

## Description

* Install, configure, and maintain servers in Linux environments.
 * Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
 * Monitor Linux server health using automated and manual processes.
 * Design, develop, and implement infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools using BASH and PowerShell.
 * Perform server hardware maintenance and upgrades.
 * Create test automation frameworks in collaboration with team members and other IT groups.
 * Develop tools to increase functionality and efficiency of infrastructure.
 * Maintain software repositories and apply software updates.
 * Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and programs.
