Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Head of Digital Transformation Office - **Company:** Magtalent - **Location:** Madrid, Spain (Remote available) - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Artificial Intelligence, Asana, JIRA, Cloud Computing, Collaborative Software, Data Sharing, EHealth, Middleware, Microsoft Project, Data Analytics - **Published:** October 3, 2026 - **Apply:** https://magtalent.es/news/head-of-digital-transformation-office ## About the Role * Proven experience defining and implementing operating models, governance frameworks and ways of working within technology, digital or software organizations. * Strong track record leading cross-functional digital transformation, strategic or organizational change programs in large international environments. * Hands-on experience implementing OKRs or similar objective-setting frameworks at organizational level. * Experience defining KPIs, performance dashboards and structured quarterly or periodic business review processes. * Strong knowledge of project, program and portfolio management methodologies and best practices. * Previous experience in digital transformation, strategy consulting, digital consulting, PMO or internal transformation functions. * Ability to influence and drive change across complex organizations without relying on formal authority. * Strong analytical capabilities and confidence working with data, technology and business topics. * Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including exposure to senior executives. * Strong workshop facilitation, presentation and decision-paper preparation capabilities. * High level of autonomy, ownership and bias for action. * Experience within healthcare, medical devices, diagnostics, digital health or another regulated industry will be highly valued. Education * University degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Science or a related discipline. * MBA or postgraduate qualification in Strategy, Digital Transformation, Project Management or a related field will be valued. Languages * Professional fluency in English is essential. * Spanish and/or additional languages will be considered an advantage. ## Description The Head of Digital Transformation Office will be responsible for defining and embedding the operating model, priorities, governance and execution framework that enable the Digital Solutions organization to operate effectively across the business. The role will act as a strategic partner to the VP Digital Solutions, helping translate strategy into clear priorities, measurable objectives and successfully executed transformation initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role without a large team initially. Success will therefore depend on the ability to influence senior stakeholders, establish clear ways of working and drive execution across a complex international and matrixed organization., * Define and continuously evolve the Digital Solutions operating model, including roles, responsibilities, decision rights, processes and hand-offs. * Establish clear and repeatable collaboration models between Digital Solutions and the different business units. * Embed agreed ways of working through practical processes, templates, tools and coaching., * Support senior leadership in translating strategy into a focused set of priorities and measurable organizational objectives. * Implement and manage an OKR or equivalent objective-setting framework across the organization. * Lead quarterly performance and objective reviews, ensuring progress, risks and corrective actions are clearly identified. * Define the KPIs and dashboards required to provide a consistent view of digital performance and value creation. * Lead operational governance forums, ensuring discussions result in clear decisions, owners and follow-up actions. Transformation & Strategic Project Delivery * Lead transformation initiatives focused on improving processes, governance, tooling, data and organizational effectiveness. * Provide project and program management for strategic initiatives across Digital Solutions and the wider organization. * Establish transparent processes to assess, prioritize and sequence incoming initiatives and investment requests. * Create a consolidated view of the transformation and strategic project portfolio, including scope, ownership, resources, timing, costs, risks and expected benefits. * Introduce standardized yet pragmatic project and portfolio management methodologies, tools and templates. * Manage interdependencies, capacity constraints and critical risks across the transformation portfolio. * Support the annual strategy process and translate strategic priorities into actionable programs, milestones and measures. Business Unit Collaboration * Build strong working relationships between Digital Solutions and business units across regions and functions. * Ensure digital capabilities are considered early in the planning and development of new products and services. * Promote common platforms, reusable solutions, shared data models and interoperability rather than isolated developments. * Provide structured, data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic and investment decisions. Change Management & Communication * Establish a practical change management framework focused on adoption and sustainable organizational change. * Design and facilitate leadership workshops, alignment sessions and cross-functional working groups. * Prepare executive-level presentations, decision papers and management materials. * Create stakeholder engagement and communication plans for priority transformation initiatives. Capability Building * Strengthen project, program and change management capabilities across the wider organization. * Coach business and technology leaders in effective transformation and delivery practices. * Manage external consultants, contractors and specialist partners where required. * Help shape and progressively scale the Digital Transformation Office as the portfolio develops. Additional Experience Valued Experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered a strong advantage: * Establishing or scaling a Transformation Office or PMO. * New product development and stage-gate processes. * Programs involving Commercial, R&D, IT, Operations, Quality and Regulatory functions. * Medical devices, diagnostics or healthcare technology. * Digital health, software-enabled products or connected solutions. * Cloud platforms, interoperability, middleware or digital architectures. * Regulated environments and associated quality, cybersecurity or data privacy requirements. * Organizational change programs delivered jointly with HR / People teams. * Practical application of Artificial Intelligence in business or product environments. * Portfolio and collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana or MS Project. What Success Looks Like During the first year, the successful candidate will be expected to: * Build a clear fact-based understanding of how the organization currently operates and identify the most important areas for improvement. * Establish clear priorities, measurable objectives and a reliable performance-review cadence. * Introduce and embed an effective operating model across Digital Solutions. * Increase transparency across the strategic and transformation portfolio. * Drive transformation initiatives that deliver visible improvements in organizational effectiveness. * Enable senior leadership to manage priorities and progress from a single, trusted view of performance. ️ Location & Travel The position has a global remit and can be performed remotely, although regular international travel is an important part of the role. The successful candidate should be comfortable travelling to corporate offices, regional locations and operational sites for governance meetings, strategic programs and senior stakeholder engagement.
