Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and developing engineering professionals. Identify engineering risks, dependencies and technical challenges and develop effective solutions. About You We are looking for an experienced aerospace professional with a strong background in avionics and electrical systems engineering, ideally gained within aircraft modification, integration, aerospace or defence environments. You will ideally have: Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in Avionics, Electrical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering. Significant experience working with aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Experience within a Part 21J Design Organisation or similar regulated aerospace environment. Strong understanding of airworthiness and certification processes. Experience producing and reviewing wiring diagrams, schematics and installation drawings. Experience with Electrical Load Analysis and aircraft electrical architecture. Experience supporting aircraft installation, integration and testing. Knowledge of certification and compliance activities. Ability to interpret aircraft technical documentation, including AMMs, IPCs, CMMs, wiring manuals, engineering drawings and OEM documentation. Strong technical report writing and presentation skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring or guidance to other engineers. Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous: Aircraft modification and installation programmes. Military and/or commercial aircraft. Safety-critical systems. DO-178 / DO-254 environments. ARP4754A / ARP4761. Safety assessment and hazard analysis. Reliability and failure mode analysis. EMC testing and certification.
