## About the Role

* Around 4-8 years' commercial experience
 * Strong AWS experience
 * Hands-on Kubernetes, Terraform and Docker experience
 * Strong understanding of CI/CD and automation
 * Ideally someone who started in software development before moving into DevOps
 * Experience building and operating cloud environments

## Description

I'm currently supporting a specialist technology consultancy delivering complex software solutions across Central Government.

They're looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join an Agile engineering team, working across large-scale programmes and helping to build new bespoke software solutions.

This is a hands-on DevOps role focused on building, creating and improving environments rather than purely operational work.

The role:

 * Design, build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
 * Deploy and manage Kubernetes environments
 * Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated processes
 * Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
 * Work with Docker and containerised applications
 * Build new environments and support the development of secure software products
 * Improve infrastructure performance, availability and resilience
 * Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues
 * Work closely with developers, technical teams and customers
