You work well in a delivery team and build straightforward, trusted working relationships with client counterparts. You can explain a technical decision to someone who isn't technical: plainly, without talking down and without hiding behind the detail. You bring good judgement to ambiguous problems and you're careful and clear in how you make and explain technical decisions. You know which calls are yours and which belong to the workstream lead, and you raise the second kind early. You're precise about detail and thorough about proof. You test your own configuration and satisfy yourself it holds before you report it as complete. Things that set strong candidates apart: Oracle certification; hands-on configuration experience on end-to-end Oracle Cloud ERP finance implementations, from early design through to go-live; depth in the Oracle finance suite, whether subledger accounting, consolidation (FCCS) or enterprise data (EDMCS); reporting build in BI Publisher or OTBI; integration and data-conversion experience on Oracle Cloud across Oracle Integration Cloud, REST and SOAP services and FBDI; an awareness of how controls, master data and staying on standard shape a finance solution; and a professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent industry experience). If you have most of this and the drive to build the rest, we want to hear from you - tell us what you'd bring. ## Description Oracle Cloud configuration depth. Hands-on configuration of Oracle Cloud ERP Financials (Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials) across the core finance modules: General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Tax and Intercompany, plus the enterprise and ledger structures underneath them. You configure it, you test it, and you can stand behind why it is set up the way it is. That extends into Oracle Subledger Accounting, where you understand how transactions are accounted and how to configure the rules that decide it; consolidation and close in FCCS; and enterprise data and chart-of-accounts structures in EDMCS. You stay on standard, extending Oracle the way it is designed to be extended rather than modifying it, and you can explain to a client why that boundary is worth holding. Experience across the wider Oracle finance estate, including the EPM suite and planning in EPBCS, broadens where you can work. The platform matters less than the rigour you bring, so comparable cloud finance platforms are worth talking to us about. Design, build and integration. You translate finance requirements into functional designs and into build specifications a developer can work from, covering reports, interfaces, data conversions, extensions, workflow and integrations. You build the reporting yourself in BI Publisher, OTBI and Smart View, and you have worked hands-on with Oracle's integration patterns across Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and REST and SOAP web services. Data migration and conversion sits with you, using FBDI and ADFdi, so a cutover holds. Where the standard product doesn't reach, you extend it properly, in a sandbox and through Visual Builder. You take the solution through testing and into deployment, and you know what evidence a client needs before they will sign it off. Finance process knowledge. Genuine Record-to-Report depth, with a feel for how your configuration choices show up for the CFO: a faster close, numbers people trust, stronger control. You understand enterprise structures and chart-of-accounts design and the finance master data underneath them, how finance controls are built into the configuration rather than bolted on afterwards, and how those choices shape reporting downstream. Exposure to a second finance process area broadens your range. Delivery and client skills. You own your scope and see it through. You make the configuration and design calls within it, document them, and explain them to the client and to the workstream lead without either needing to check your working line by line. You're at ease in front of a client: running a working session with finance and IT stakeholders, walking them through what you've built, taking the questions it raises, and turning a technical constraint into what it means for their close, their controls and their reporting. You are straight with people about what the system will and won't do, and you say so early, not late. You bring structured, analytical problem-solving and communicate clearly under pressure, and you support the people around you by reviewing a colleague's configuration, bringing someone newer through a build, and passing on what is worth reusing on the next programme. Ways of working. We're increasingly an AI-first delivery team, bringing agentic tooling and orchestration into how we design, build, test and validate, with our people owning the judgement and the outcome. An appreciation of Oracle's own embedded Fusion AI and agents, and how they augment a finance solution, is a real plus, and we're keen to hear from people bringing that experience.
