## About the Role

* Demonstrated ability to own an IT function or significant IT environment end-to-end
 * Deep technical understanding of identity and access management, endpoint management, SaaS, networking, and IT infrastructure
 * Strong understanding of IT security, access control, authentication, device security, and operational risk
 * Ability to design and implement secure IT environments rather than simply operate existing ones
 * Strong technical judgement and ability to make high-impact decisions independently
 * Strong understanding of how IT controls support security and compliance requirements
 * Ability to identify risks before they become incidents and drive remediation through to completion
 * Ability to translate technical risks and trade-offs into clear business decisions
 * Strong vendor management and commercial judgement
 * Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands on operational requirements
 * Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
 * Experience supporting international or distributed organisations
 * Comfortable operating with incomplete information and making decisions quickly, * Experience in building and operating an IT function in a rapidly scaling technology company
 * Experience operating a cloud-first, SaaS-heavy environment
 * Strong experience with IAM, SSO, MDM, and endpoint management

## Description

In this role, you will own and deliver Verda's internal IT strategy, operations and technology roadmap., * Own Verda's internal corporate IT strategy and operating model as Verda scales

 * Build and operate a secure, reliable, and scalable internal IT environment
 * Own identity and access management, device and endpoint management, and core SaaS systems
 * Advance and maintain IT policies, standards, controls, and operational processes
 * Own onboarding, offboarding, device lifecycle, and employee IT processes
 * Partner closely with Security and Compliance on IT security controls and compliance requirements
 * Own remediation of IT-related risks and control gaps
 * Establish appropriate backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery processes for the corporate IT structure
 * Own the selection, implementation, and lifecycle management of critical IT systems
 * Manage IT vendors, contracts, procurement, and performance
 * Act as the escalation point for complex IT incidents and failures
 * Establish repeatable processes and standards that can operate across a growing international organisation
 * Provide technical recommendations and risk assessments to leadership
 * Continuously evaluate Verda's internal technology stack and remove unnecessary complexity
