## About the Role

* 5+ years of experience in Network Security, with a strong focus on firewall governance, operations, and remediation.
 * Hands-on experience managing and reviewing firewall rule bases (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet).
 * Strong understanding of network security controls, firewall policies, rule lifecycle management, and access governance.
 * Experience supporting audit remediation activities, including evidence collection, documentation, issue tracking, and action-item closure.
 * Proven ability to perform firewall rule reviews, rule recertifications, cleanup initiatives, and rule-set optimization.
 * Experience analyzing firewall rules for compliance, security risks, and operational effectiveness.
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify remediation opportunities and drive them to completion.
 * Experience working with regulatory, audit, risk, and compliance teams to address findings and meet remediation deadlines.
 * Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
 * Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
 * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
 * Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
 * Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana) is a plus3
 * Fluent in Spanish
 * Knowledge of automation, scripting, or AI-assisted security operations is highly desirable.

 * Assist in managing project timelines and deliverables to ensure compliance with security standards.
 * Communicate project status, risks, and blockers to leadership and stakeholders.
 * Ensure accurate documentation of firewall changes and audit trails.
