Preferred Qualifications * CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification). * Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering. * Demonstrated proficiency in Python for software development, automation, and data processing. * Experience managing application releases with Helm charts and Kubernetes package management. * Practical knowledge of DevSecOps practices, SAST, and container security scanning (Trivy, Grype, SonarQube). * Hands-on experience querying and maintaining relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL). * Experience with DISA STIGs, security hardening, and defense compliance frameworks. * Working knowledge of foundational AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM). * Background in operational defense or maritime environments, including US Navy shipboard systems. ## Description In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of architecting, implementing, and optimizing full-stack containerized software solutions and deployment pipelines across enterprise environments. This position offers a flexible hybrid model, supporting project requirements with a blend of remote work and periodic onsite support in San Diego, CA as needed. This position requires a Secret level security clearance to be processed in order to start work, so US or Naturalized Citizenship is a requirement. The ideal candidate brings an authoritative, strategic mindset to systems architecture, software design, and DevSecOps integration. You possess deep hands-on expertise in backend development, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud-native automation, paired with the leadership required to mentor engineering teams.
