This includes extending our ClickHouse pipeline to support new filters and attributes * Own the Product: partner with product to define what gets built and why, then keep improving it after launch as you learn how customers actually use it * Own Core Systems: take ownership of the complex backend systems behind Braze segmentation, continuously improving their performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness * Mentor & Influence: lead by example and mentor engineers on best practices in software design, coding, and operations * Collaborate Cross-Functionally: work closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure segmentation systems are effectively integrated and aligned with business objectives * Innovate & Optimize: continuously identify opportunities to improve our systems, research new technologies, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate * Maintain & Evolve: support and refine operational procedures (alerts, on-call rotation, troubleshooting playbooks) to maximize system stability and quality The team extensively integrates AI into its daily workflow, leveraging agentic tools to navigate our large Ruby monolith, create proof of concepts, and transition quickly and safely from an ask to a working solution. AI has been used across all stages of product delivery, fundamentally enhancing the team's ability to deliver high-quality results more efficiently. ## Related Videos - [Coffee with Developers: David Heinemeier Hansson](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/875-coffee-with-developers-david-heinemeier-hansson) - [Watch Tests Go Brrrr! : Getting Started with Cypress in ReactJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/282-watch-tests-go-brrrr-getting-started-with-cypress-in-reactjs) - [Leveraging Real time data in FSIs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/806-leveraging-real-time-data-in-fsis) - [Empowering Thousands of Developers: Our Journey to an Internal Developer Platform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1519-empowering-thousands-of-developers-our-journey-to-an-internal-developer-platform) - [Tomorrow's cloud data platforms - fully managed database-as-a-service (DBaaS)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/254-tomorrow-s-cloud-data-platforms-fully-managed-database-as-a-service-dbaas) - [Build and Deploy a Fullstack App with Open Source Tooling](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/775-build-and-deploy-a-fullstack-app-with-open-source-tooling) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [The Best X (Twitter) Accounts for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/294-the-best-x-twitter-accounts-for-developers) - [The Best Software Developer Blogs to Read](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/156-the-best-software-developer-blogs-to-read) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [How to Answer the Interview Question: “Why Do You Want to Be a Software Engineer?”](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/392-how-to-answer-the-interview-question-why-do-you-want-to-be-a-software-engineer)
