## About the Role

* 3+ years of software development experience
 * Strong hands-on JavaScript development experience - at least 3 years of experience building full stack applications
 * Experience building full-stack applications using JavaScript
 * Experience with Node.js and backend API development
 * Experience working with backend databases and data integrations - AS400 preferred but will consider Oracle and SQL
 * Experience utilizing Git for cloud-based deployment pipelines and DevOps practices
 * Experience working in cloud environment building pipelines - Azure preferred
 * Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex technical issues
 * Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote team environment
 * Experience learning and adopting new technologies with minimal direction
 * Experience working in either Retail, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Logistics environment
 * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
 * Profound.js experience
 * IBM i / AS400 experience
 * Azure cloud experience
 * .NET Framework or .NET Core development experience
 * Express.js experience
 * Angular or React experience
 * Mobile application development experience
 * Experience with AI-assisted coding, testing, or deployment tools

## Description

Insight Global is seeking a Full Stack JavaScript Developer to join a Fortune 500 client's Application Development team supporting the modernization of critical enterprise applications. This role is centered around JavaScript development across both front-end and back-end systems, with a primary focus on developing and enhancing applications built within the Profound.js tool. Profound.js is this client's modernization framework for transforming legacy IBM i (AS400) applications into modern web-based applications while preserving the underlying business logic that drives key business processes. Rather than replacing decades of proven functionality, the team leverages Profound.js to create modern user experiences, APIs, and integrations using JavaScript and Node.js on top of existing AS400 systems. The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack JavaScript experience, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and be comfortable working in an environment that blends modern development
practices with enterprise legacy systems. This individual will play a key role in building web applications, APIs, and integrations that support Ryder's ongoing technology modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities * Develop, enhance, and maintain applications within the Profound.js platform. * Build modern web applications and user interfaces that integrate with legacy IBM i (AS400) systems. * Develop backend services, APIs, and business logic using JavaScript, Node.js, and Express.js. * Create and maintain integrations between modern front-end applications and enterprise backend systems. * Collaborate with UI, API, and platform teams to deliver scalable business solutions. * Work within Azure-based CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment environments. * Participate in modernization efforts that extend and enhance legacy applications while preserving critical business logic. * Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements to application architecture and development processes. * Utilize AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve efficiency and code quality. * Partner with offshore and distributed teams to support application delivery and ongoing
enhancements

This role is fully remote and candidates must be able to work EST timezone
