## About the Role

This role requires strong technical skills in Microsoft data technologies, a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and excellent problem solving and communication abilities., * Experience with ASE SQL (Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise) development.

 * Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain stored procedures, triggers, views, functions, and complex SQL queries within ASE SQL environments.
 * Experience in query optimisation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting database-related issues.
 * Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
 * Experience maintaining data integrity, database standards, and coding best practices.
 * Advanced SQL Server (T-SQL) development experience.
 * Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
 * Experience developing ETL solutions using SSIS.
 * Strong Power BI development skills, including dashboard and report creation.
 * Experience in data modelling and database design.
 * Understanding of solution design and application architecture principles.
 * Good knowledge of Windows operating systems.
 * Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support.
 * Experience performing unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
 * Relevant Microsoft certifications would be advantageous.

## Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business intelligence, reporting, and data integration solutions that enable informed business decision-making., * Design, develop, and maintain reporting and business intelligence solutions.

 * Develop, optimise, and support SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, and queries.
 * Create and maintain ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
 * Develop operational and management reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.
 * Design and implement data models to support reporting and analytical requirements.
 * Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements.
 * Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
 * Participate in solution design activities and contribute to system architecture discussions.
 * Perform testing, validation, and quality assurance of developed solutions.
 * Support systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
 * Maintain documentation in line with development and support standards.
 * Follow software development best practices and contribute throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
 * Develop and support ASE SQL and Microsoft SQL Server database solutions.
 * Collaborate with business users and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues., Individual Conduct Rules
