 * Thorough understanding of control system design and coding
 * Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people
 * Hands-on Ignition implementation experience including:
 + Connectivity to shop floor data sources and historians
 + Integration with enterprise systems such as ERP and PLM
 + T-SQL query and stored procedure development
 + Client display and web report configuration
 + Modern web-based UI configuration and deployment
 * Ability to integrate new software modules with existing systems
 * Demonstrated adaptability and curiosity to explore emerging approaches such as AI, low-code/no-code integration, and iterative requirement definition

Desired Qualifications:

 * B.S. in Electrical, Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology
 * B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering
 * Working knowledge of common communication protocols and Ignition SCADA
 * Understanding of batch or continuous process control
 * Network design/administration
 * PLC or DCS Integration
 * Historian Integration
 * Experience working with any of the following applications is a plus:
 + MQTT/OPC UA
 + Ignition Edge Panel
 + SQL
 + Sepasoft

## Description

* Define and implement Ignition SCADA systems; create and maintain clear documentation describing solution design and implementation
 * Partner with customers and RoviSys functional analysts to define functional requirements using modern iterative approaches
 * Break down work into technical tasks consumable by our developers and configurators and oversee task completion
 * Testing and on-site commissioning of control systems
 * Travel to customer sites to perform requirement gathering, deployment, and post-deployment support
 * Work in team environment with engineers and designers from RoviSys, partners and clients to provide state of the art Control Systems to improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing
 * Apply modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing) to manage deployments
 * Provide mentorship and leadership to less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of technical growth and innovation
 * Explore and apply emerging technologies, including frontier agentic AI and LLM-based automation, to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability
