Requirements

Specific Qualification requirements

 * Master's Degree or equivalent in Physics, Engineering or Computer Science.
 * Knowledge of Linux environments: able to work comfortably in the command line, run scripts, review and filter logs, manage basic permissions, connect to remote servers via SSH, and transfer files using FTP/SFTP/FTPS from the terminal.
 * Good understanding of C/C++ and Python: enough to follow general code structure, interpret build or runtime error messages, adjust simple parameters, and use tools or utilities associated with the software (build systems, helper scripts, etc.).
 * Competence in using Docker technology: capable of starting and stopping containers, checking container status, accessing containers for basic diagnostics, rebuilding simple images, and maintaining a stable dockerized execution environment.
 * Proven expertise with optical instruments (imagers), both for simulation and processing.
 * Expertise in the field of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) processing is highly desirable.
 * A good knowledge of the English.

Legal and Security Requirements

 * All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands.
 * Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. SSC Space Netherlands will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA.
 * Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to SSC Space Netherlands a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident.
