## About the Role

Minimum 3+ years of embedded software development using C++ and object-oriented languages.

 - Hands-on experience with low-level embedded software, device drivers, or platform-side development.
 - Strong RTOS development and integration skills.
 - Demonstrated ability to test your own code.
 - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, C++, and Python fundamentals.
 - Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical knowledge.

Preferred Skills

 - Python programming and scripting experience.
 - Familiarity with real-time embedded environments and industrial protocols (e.g., CIP).
 - Experience with open-source tools such as Git, Jenkins, and unit testing frameworks (CppUnit, unittest).
 - Background in continuous integration, automated/acceptance testing, and Agile development.
 - Knowledge of safety and security standards (IEC 61508, IEC 62443)., * Minimum of 3+ years of embedded software development using C++ and other object oriented development * Experience developing embedded software in object-oriented languages such as C++ * Experience developing at low platform side or with device drivers or other similar low-level embedded software * RTOS experience * Able to test your own code

Join Apex Systems as an Embedded Software Engineer and drive innovation within our new product development team. You'll take ownership of embedded software design, development, and testing, working with modern tools and diverse hardware platforms.

Responsibilities

 - Design, develop, and test robust embedded software for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Industrial PCs.
 - Architect and implement new features and functionalities at the low-level platform side, including device drivers.
 - Build, execute, and maintain automated testing frameworks for new and existing features.
 - Collaborate cross-functionally with development, functional test, and system test teams to deliver testable requirements.
 - Lead high- and detailed-level controller/PLC design initiatives.
 - Apply Agile methodologies, contribute to continuous integration, and champion process improvements.
 - Operate across the full software development life cycle, from requirements to maintenance.
 - Mentor junior engineers to foster knowledge sharing and team growth.
