## About the Role

* 5+ years' experience in BI, Data Analytics, or BI Development.
 * Strong Power BI experience including:
 + DAX
 + Power Query
 + Data modelling
 + Performance optimisation
 * Strong SQL skills.
 * Experience designing dimensional data models and semantic layers.
 * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
 * Ability to translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions.

Nice to have

 * Microsoft Fabric experience.
 * Azure data platform experience.
 * Retail, wholesale, distribution, or supply-chain experience.
 * Experience mentoring or supporting junior analysts.

## Description

This is a hybrid role sitting between Business Intelligence Development and Commercial Analytics.

You'll spend time:

 * Building and improving Power BI dashboards
 * Developing scalable semantic models and reporting datasets
 * Working with stakeholders to understand business challenges
 * Delivering actionable insights, not just reports
 * Helping define reporting standards and best practice
 * Mentoring more junior members of the team

This is not a pure dashboard-building role. They're looking for someone who can turn data into recommendations and influence business decisions.
What you'll be doingBusiness Intelligence & Reporting

 * Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
 * Build scalable semantic models and reusable datasets.
 * Improve and automate existing reporting processes.

Data Modelling & Analytics

 * Develop dimensional models and reporting structures.
 * Create DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and KPI frameworks.
 * Analyse commercial and operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement

 * Work closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Commercial, and Operations teams.
 * Gather requirements and proactively identify reporting gaps.
 * Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
 * Help drive adoption of self-service analytics across the business.

Data Platform & Fabric

 * Support development of the Microsoft Fabric platform.
 * Contribute to Lakehouse, Warehouse and semantic model design.
