You will evaluate existing custom Apex code, Lightning Components, Flows, integrations, and platform configurations to identify architectural weaknesses, technical debt, and opportunities for optimisation. Working closely with development and business teams, you will determine what should be retained, standardised, refactored, or retired, creating a pragmatic target-state architecture and phased improvement plan. The role will also focus on improving software engineering practices, including source control, environments, release management, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes. A key objective is to enable smaller, safer, and more predictable releases whilst maintaining platform reliability and supporting ongoing business delivery. This is not a purely strategic architecture position. You will remain hands-on, capable of prototyping solutions, validating architectural decisions, and supporting complex technical challenges while maintaining overarching ownership of the platform's direction., * Own the technical architecture of a complex Salesforce platform * Assess and modernise existing Salesforce solutions and custom developments * Define and deliver a long-term architectural roadmap * Identify and address technical debt and platform risks * Improve platform stability, scalability, maintainability, and observability * Lead architecture reviews and technical governance activities * Drive improvements across CI/CD, release management, testing, and development standards * Mentor and provide technical leadership to development teams * Collaborate with stakeholders to balance immediate business needs with long-term platform health * Support the transition towards more frequent, lower-risk software releases
