Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start. Preferred Qualifications * Active DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance. * Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher. * Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular). * Experience administering Oracle databases (including PL/SQL, installation, configuration, and upgrades). * Experience with Oracle in Windows environments. * Experience with MS Access-based applications and VBA. * Experience with the Sunflower Asset Management Database. * Familiarity with Python, PERL, and/or Java. * Current Security+ certification. ## Description The selected candidate will implement and maintain the smooth operation and physical design of databases, ensuring reliable performance and availability. Other duties include: * Conducting performance tuning of indexes and databases in general to optimize efficiency and responsiveness * Reviewing database design and integration of systems, providing backup and recovery support, and recommending enhancements and/or improvements * Maintaining security and integrity controls to safeguard data and database environments * Formulating and enforcing policies, procedures, and standards related to database management * Monitoring transaction activity and utilization to ensure effective resource usage and system stability * Developing stored procedures and/or triggers, as needed, to support application and system requirements This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Database Administrator (Level 1) or Database Administrator (Level 2).
