## About the Role

* At least 5 years of web development with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js or Angular
 * Hands-on work with a major web mapping SDK - layers, popups, custom widgets and client-side spatial operations
 * Python for geoprocessing and automation (ArcPy, GeoPandas, Shapely, Rasterio, GDAL/OGR)
 * Backend services or pipelines that expose geospatial functionality
 * Git, Agile, and a bachelor's degree in computer science, geography, IT or similar
 * Advanced English; some basic French is helpful

## Description

* Developing and configuring web GIS applications with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript and other modern frameworks
 * Bringing spatial data from classified and unclassified sources into those applications
 * Converting and preparing data with Python and spatial ETL tools
 * Setting up map services, feature layers and tiled data so they load quickly on the web
 * Tuning backend queries and map rendering for performance
 * Documenting code, service endpoints and architecture, and passing knowledge on to staff
