## About the Role

* Strong Python and SQL skills.
 * Experience designing and building data applications and pipelines.
 * Strong software and data engineering fundamentals.
 * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
 * Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
 * First-class or 2:1 degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related discipline from a Russell Group university.

Desirable Experience

 * Spark and/or Databricks.
 * Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
 * Distributed computing and large-scale data processing.
 * Defence or National Security experience.

Essential Requirements

 * UK national and eligible to obtain UK SC-level Security Clearance.
 * Visa sponsorship is not available.
 * Willingness to travel to Defence customer sites across the UK when required, including 2-3 days per week or shorter periods of full-time travel.

## Description

* Design and build data-intensive applications and pipelines from ingestion through to consumption.
 * Build reliable, production-ready solutions using Python and SQL.
 * Test, troubleshoot and improve data products, ensuring quality and reliability.
 * Work with technical teams and Defence customers to solve complex data challenges.
