This role focuses on Certification & Accreditation (C&A) and Information Assurance (IA) activities, ensuring Navy IT systems meet stringent security requirements. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Navy cybersecurity frameworks and experience serving as a Validator within C&A processes., * Lead Certification & Accreditation (C&A) and Information Assurance (IA) efforts for Navy IT systems * Apply Navy C&A guidance to ensure compliance across systems, sites, and infrastructure * Serve as a Navy Validator supporting system authorization processes * Develop, review, and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including: + System Security Plans (SSP) + Contingency Plans + Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) + Certification & Accreditation Reports + Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) * Conduct security assessments and support risk management activities * Collaborate with technical teams, system owners, and leadership to ensure security compliance * Provide guidance on cybersecurity best practices across IT operations and systems * Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels on security posture and requirements
