* 10+ years of hands-on IBM Mainframe development experience
 * Strong COBOL development experience
 * Strong REXX scripting/development experience
 * Strong JCL
 * Strong DB2 / SQL
 * Hands-on CICS
 * Good knowledge of VSAM
 * Experience with both Batch and Online applications
 * Production support, debugging and abend handling
 * Impact analysis, coding, unit testing and defect resolution
 * Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodology

## Description

* Design, develop, enhance and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL.
 * Develop and maintain REXX scripts for automation and Mainframe utilities.
 * Analyze requirements and perform impact analysis across COBOL programs, JCL, DB2 and CICS components.
 * Develop and modify batch and online applications.
 * Troubleshoot production issues, abends and data-related problems.
 * Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
 * Write and optimize DB2 SQL queries.
 * Work with VSAM files and Mainframe datasets.
 * Prepare and execute unit/SIT testing.
 * Support UAT and production deployments.
 * Coordinate with business analysts, QA and offshore/onshore teams.
 * Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
 * Prepare technical documentation and support release activities.
