## About the Role

* Extensive experience as an Enterprise Data Architect within large, complex organisations
 * Previous line management or leadership experience
 * Strong Azure data platform expertise, including Azure Databricks
 * Experience designing modern lakehouse and enterprise data architectures
 * Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, MDM and enterprise data modelling
 * Experience supporting AI/ML initiatives and modern AI data platforms
 * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
 * Experience working within enterprise architecture frameworks and collaborating across multiple architecture disciplines

## Description

An exciting opportunity to join a global organisation undergoing a significant transformation across Data, AI and enterprise architecture.

You'll take ownership of the enterprise data architecture strategy, leading the design of a modern Azure-based data platform while shaping how data products, governance and AI capabilities are embedded across the business.

This is a leadership role with line management responsibility for two Data Architects, working closely with Architecture, Engineering, Data and AI teams to deliver a scalable, governed data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

 * Define and own the enterprise data architecture strategy and roadmap
 * Lead the design of modern Azure lakehouse and data platform architectures
 * Shape and embed enterprise data governance, modelling and architecture standards
 * Drive the adoption of a data product operating model across the organisation
 * Partner with Data, AI, Engineering and Enterprise Architecture teams on strategic initiatives
 * Provide architecture governance and technical leadership across data and AI programmes
 * Lead and mentor a team of Data Architects
 * Ensure enterprise data platforms are scalable, secure and AI-ready
