You'll lead the move away from manual, document-heavy workflows and toward smarter straight-through processing (STP) that makes things easier for both underwriters and brokers. Working closely with global teams, you'll help design and build these platforms, while staying aligned with engineers at the code and detailed design level to make sure the solution is delivered exactly as intended. In this role, you will: * Design flexible, modular, and reusable solution architectures that align with technical standards and patterns * Implement solution architecture governance with a strong focus on design patterns, technology standards, and architectural fitness * Define the digital transformation roadmap for underwriting platforms, including legacy modernization, API enablement, cloud-native SaaS adoption, and ecosystem integration with brokers and MGAs * Partner with developers to review code, enforce best practices across API-based, microservices, cloud environments, debug critical issues, and conduct performance testing * Identify technology risks and define mitigation strategies to protect program delivery and platform stability while enabling Agile and DevOps practices * Design and implement event-driven straight-through processing architectures that automate submission intake, risk triage, pricing, and policy issuance * Architect and enable AI-assisted underwriting platforms by integrating ML-based risk scoring, document intelligence, decision-support tools, predictive models, AI guardrails, and high-quality data pipelines
