## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
 * From 1-4 years hand-on experience working with Cobol Developement, especially with Smart 400 and Business Object (BO of CSC).
 * Strong expertise in COBOL programming language, with experience in COBOLII/eCOBOL.
 * Hand-on experience working with DB2 databases.
 * Experience in the life insurance industry is highly preferred, with familiarity in Life Asia systems.
 * Experience with mainframe programming and working on legacy systems.
 * Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and project timelines.
 * Knowledge of industry best practices in coding, testing, and debugging.
 * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under high-pressure environments.
 * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively within a team

## Description

* Design, develop, and maintain COBOL/COBOLII/eCOBOL applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
 * Work with Smart 400 and Business Object (BO of CSC) tools to deliver business solutions.
 * Develop and manage DB2 databases, ensuring data integrity and high availability.
 * Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and gather system requirements, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
 * Provide ongoing support and maintenance for life insurance-related applications.
 * Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing COBOL applications in a timely manner.
 * Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
 * Ensure that developed applications are in line with the company's best practices and security standards.
 * Collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
 * Support and contribute to the Life Asia system, ensuring alignment with business objectives and system requirements.
