## About the Role

The Senior Systems Engineer will contribute to the design, implementation, integration, security, and ongoing operation of infrastructure supporting the firm's global offices, datacenters, cloud environments, investment activities, and technology development. The ideal candidate brings deep Linux systems knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, software development experience in Pytho n, and the ability to work effectively across a geographically distributed technology organization., * 10+ years of comparable systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or software engineering experience .

 * Extensive hands-on experience with Linux-based operating systems in large-scale production environments.
 * Demonstrated development experience with Python .
 * Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities at both the host and network level .
 * Experience using diagnostic, tracing, and troubleshooting tools to identify complex infrastructure and networking issues.
 * Experience with Linux configuration management tools and practices.
 * Familiarity with automated builds, software deployment, and CI/CD systems .
 * Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, systems integration, and production operations.
 * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global engineering teams and business functions.
 * Ability to work independently on complex technical problems while contributing effectively within a collaborative engineering organization.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline .
 * Experience with one or more additional programming languages, including Rust, Java, C, Go, or C# .
 * Experience maintaining and supporting DNS, DHCP, and Kerberos infrastructure.
 * Working knowledge of network protocols and network architecture .
 * Working knowledge of information security concepts and infrastructure security practices .
 * Experience with databases and large-scale storage systems .
 * Experience supporting Windows/Linux interoperability .
 * Experience working within large-scale, globally distributed infrastructure environments.
 * Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and modern platform engineering practices.

## Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer with extensive Linux expertise to join our Platform Engineering team. This is a hands-on technical role within a global, cross-platform engineering organization responsible for the firm's core technology infrastructure., * Design, maintain, and improve the firm's global infrastructure , including operating systems, network services, security frameworks, and core technology platforms across datacenters, cloud environments, and global offices.

 * Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the firm's infrastructure security framework within a fast-paced, large-scale technology environment.
 * Design, implement, integrate, and support infrastructure systems, with a particular focus on Linux-based environments .
 * Troubleshoot complex host and network issues using diagnostic and tracing tools to identify root causes and implement effective remediation.
 * Support and improve Linux operating systems and associated configuration management practices.
 * Develop automation and infrastructure tooling using Python to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and consistency.
 * Contribute to automated build, software deployment, and CI/CD processes.
 * Work collaboratively with engineers and technology teams across the organization to design and implement infrastructure solutions.
 * Support core infrastructure services and platforms, including DNS, DHCP, and Kerberos .
 * Help ensure reliable interoperability between Windows and Linux environments .
 * Participate in the ongoing evolution of infrastructure architecture, operational practices, and security controls.
