## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience with Python and Django
 * Hands-on AWS experience covering services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3 or ECS
 * Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
 * Solid understanding of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
 * Experience with automated testing and CI/CD
 * Comfortable working in Agile delivery teams

Desirable

 * Previous central government or public sector experience
 * Knowledge of the GDS Service Standard and (url removed) Design System
 * Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
 * Docker and containerised deployments

## Description

* Design, build and maintain web applications and APIs in Python and Django
 * Develop and deploy services on AWS
 * Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code
 * Take part in code reviews and help raise engineering standards
 * Work with product, design and delivery colleagues in an Agile team
 * Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
 * Troubleshoot and fix issues across development and live environments
