## About the Role

The ideal candidate will have:

 * Strong professional experience within BI, data analytics or reporting
 * Hands-on Power BI development experience
 * Strong SQL skills
 * Experience working with Azure Databricks
 * Experience building views and/or semantic layers to support BI reporting
 * Experience translating business requirements into clear reporting solutions
 * Experience working in an Agile / sprint-based delivery environment
 * Understanding of data governance, data quality and GDPR
 * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
 * The ability to work independently and take ownership of BI delivery

Desirable

 * Experience with Microsoft Fabric
 * An interest in using AI tools such as Power BI Copilot or Databricks Genie
 * Python experience within Databricks
 * Experience using Jira
 * Public sector, tourism or destination marketing experience

## Description

This is a hands-on BI role where you'll take ownership of the organisation's reporting and visualisation capability, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate, user-friendly insights that support business decision-making.
The Role

You'll be responsible for:

 * Designing, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports
 * Building and supporting self-service analytics capabilities
 * Writing strong DAX and SQL to develop reporting, views and semantic layers
 * Working with Azure Databricks to support BI and reporting workloads
 * Maintaining and stabilising existing analytical assets
 * Ensuring data quality, accuracy and consistency across reporting
 * Working within an Agile / sprint-based environment, managing your own workload against a prioritised roadmap
 * Working closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective reporting solutions
 * Presenting insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
 * Supporting data governance, GDPR compliance and documentation standards
 * Exploring opportunities to embed AI-assisted analytics into reporting workflows
