## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience supporting cloud-based data platforms within Azure environments
 * Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
 * Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, or similar modern data platform technologies
 * Knowledge of platform architecture, scalability, performance optimisation, and operational support
 * Understanding of CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Git, and deployment automation
 * Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and incident management processes
 * Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code approaches such as Terraform
 * Scripting experience using technologies such as Python or PowerShell
 * Ability to troubleshoot issues across networking, security, storage, identity, and integration layers
 * Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions clearly

Responsibilities include:

 * Managing and enhancing a modern Azure-based data platform
 * Ensuring platform reliability, security, governance, and operational excellence
 * Supporting and optimising services across Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and related technologies
 * Working closely with infrastructure, networking, architecture, and security teams
 * Enabling Data Engineers to build and deploy scalable data solutions efficiently
 * Driving platform improvements, monitoring, observability, and automation initiatives
 * Supporting release management, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks
 * Investigating performance issues, troubleshooting technical challenges, and implementing sustainable solutions
 * Contributing to platform architecture decisions and clearly communicating technical rationale to stakeholders
