## About the Role

* Minimum of five years' experience working as a developer
 * Strong T-SQL knowledge and a good understanding of the SQL Server stack, including SSRS and SSIS; SQL Azure preferred
 * C#, SharePoint, web development or API experience is an advantage
 * Strong analytical and documentation skills, with keen attention to detail
 * Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
 * Confident communicator, able to liaise with colleagues, clients and external companies
 * Able to prioritise multiple tasks and work accurately under pressure
 * Degree in a mathematical or IT discipline desirable, though relevant SQL Server experience will be considered
 * Insurance or Financial Services experience is a plus but not a requirement; experience in a live environment is desirable

## Description

* Develop SSRS reports, maintain SQL Server database objects and SSIS packages, and provide ad hoc data extracts
 * Work with clients, business users and the BI team to analyse requirements and recommend technical solutions
 * Troubleshoot issues and carry out business-as-usual tasks supporting clients and employees
 * Manage all changes in line with release procedures, including source control, peer reviews and full testing cycles
 * Provide technical support to SharePoint and web developers, including cover during absences
 * Help develop the business's API and cloud computing capabilities
 * Support the onboarding of new clients, working accurately to tight deadlines
