The Work In this individual contributor role, you will build responsive, accessible, and maintainable interfaces for complex data collection and reporting workflows. You will translate user experience designs into production-ready components, connect interfaces to .NET services and REST APIs, implement client-side validation and workflow behavior, and write automated tests that support dependable releases. A key part of the work is improving the usability and consistency of an active federal application while it continues to serve current users. You will help modernize legacy interfaces incrementally, strengthen the component and design system, improve performance and accessibility, and collaborate closely with backend engineers, designers, testers, product teams, and users., * Develop and maintain responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and a modern component-based framework or library. * Translate user experience designs, prototypes, and acceptance criteria into reusable, accessible, and production-ready components. * Build complex forms, client-side validation, data tables, workflow interactions, notifications, and reporting interfaces for data-intensive applications. * Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, authentication services, analytics, and backend capabilities implemented in .NET. * Write and maintain unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests for user interface behavior and critical workflows. * Apply semantic HTML, keyboard support, screen-reader compatibility, color and focus requirements, Section 508, and WCAG standards throughout development. * Improve frontend performance, browser compatibility, error handling, usability, and maintainability through measurement and iterative refinement. * Participate in Agile planning, estimation, code reviews, demonstrations, release activities, and user acceptance testing support. * Collaborate with design, accessibility, backend engineering, quality assurance, security, product, and client stakeholders. * Maintain documentation for components, interaction patterns, build tooling, testing, and frontend development standards.
