## About the Role

* 4+ years working professionally with sports data
 * Deep understanding of sports events, schedules, results, and data structures
 * Experience with Sportradar, Stats Perform/Opta, Genius Sports, SportsDataIO, TXODDS, or similar
 * Strong SQL + practical Python
 * Experience with APIs, data normalization, and entity resolution
 * Exceptional attention to detail and data-quality mindset

Bonus

 * Experience with real-time data pipelines and streaming systems
 * Experience in betting, financial, or prediction markets
 * Familiarity with ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Kafka, or AWS
 * PhD in a relevant field is a plus

 * Build canonical datasets across teams, players, leagues, games, and events
 * Map and reconcile data across multiple sources
 * Own data quality, accuracy, latency, and historical integrity
 * Define rules for postponements, cancellations, corrections, and other edge cases
 * Work closely with engineers to build scalable ingestion and data pipelines
 * Expand coverage across major global sports
