Office work environment. ## Description The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Windows Server environments and VMware virtualization platforms supporting enterprise-wide modeling and simulation systems. The candidate will work closely with technical teams across the enterprise to update, monitor, and maintain Windows based servers, virtual machines, and client systems. Core responsibilities include VMware ESXi and vCenter management, Windows Server administration, Group Policy creation and management, DHCP configuration, and implementing system hardening and patching in accordance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). The candidate must be capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team., * Ensures reliable operation and performance of multi-user Windows server and VMware systems, coordinating as needed with other network and systems administrators. * Manages VMware infrastructure including provisioning, monitoring, performance tuning, and lifecycle maintenance of virtual machines. * Performs Windows Server administration including account management, GPO development, patching, and system configuration. * Maintains system documentation and ensures compliance with DoD cybersecurity and configuration standards. * Evaluates hardware and software solutions, coordinates installations, and manages system backups and recovery processes. * Develops and enforces policies and standards related to system resources, capacity allocation, and configuration management.
