## About the Role

Masters or Bachelors in Data Science, Computer Science, Remote Sensing, GIS or related quantitative field 3-6 years of experience as a Data Scientist, ML Scientist or Data Engineer in a complex, data-driven environment Advanced proficiency in Python or C++ for manipulating large datasets and automation Deep knowledge of 3D point cloud processing (LAS/LAZ formats), databases such as DataBricks (or similiar) and Cloud-based geospatial tools Strong 3D mapping experience, using Neara, GE SmallWorld, Esri, Autodesk or similar platform Experience applying ML algorithms to point cloud classification, GeoAI and environmental or spatial modeling Experience with Neara, Ge SmallWorld or Esri Strong background utilizing DataBricks Prior background in geospatial data, GIS or the Energy industry Experience working with Vegetation Management

## Description

Insight Global is looking for a Data Scientist in the Greater Denver area. This individual will help develop machine learning models and AI-driven digital twins of electrical networks to help utility companies optimize infrastructure, mitigate wildfire risks, and ensure grid resilience. You will build accurate electric network models, surface metrics like wildfire risk & identify aging infrastructure, craft scalable data pipelines, conduct A/B testing and quality assurance on predictive models and advise on product strategy.
