## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
 * 10+ years of progressive software development and technology leadership experience
 * Strong hands-on experience in software development and database management, including design and code reviews
 * Experience with the Microsoft technology stack including .NET, Azure, Azure DevOps and SQL Server
 * Proven ability to establish development standards, governance practices and CI/CD pipelines
 * Experience managing life insurance and annuity policy administration system configuration
 * Demonstrable ability to lead technical teams, drive change and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
 * Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills
 * Life insurance and annuity experience (preferred)

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions and internal equity. ## Description

The Applications Development Manager is responsible for leading the development and delivery of innovative technology solutions within a fraternal benefit society. This role involves establishing and maintaining development standards, governance practices, and efficient processes to support the organization's strategic growth. The manager will oversee application development, database management, and data migration activities, ensuring scalability and compliance across projects. The position requires strategic leadership to build high-performing teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaborate effectively with business and technical partners., * Lead and develop a high-performing software development team across multiple disciplines.

 * Establish software development standards, governance practices and delivery processes that promote quality and efficiency.
 * Oversee application development, database management, data migration and software delivery activities.
 * Develop disciplined policy administration system configuration practices, including version control, documentation, testing, release coordination and auditability.
 * Lead design reviews, code reviews and technical decision-making to ensure best practices are followed.
 * Manage CI/CD pipelines and oversee the implementation of development best practices throughout the software lifecycle.
 * Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver effective and scalable solutions aligned with organizational goals.
 * Monitor operational metrics and continuously identify areas for improvement.
 * Manage resources, project priorities, budgets and delivery timelines to meet organizational expectations.
