## About the Role

* 7+ years of experience in data management, governance, risk, or related disciplines.
 * Previous experience establishing or expanding a data governance program.
 * Strong understanding of data quality, metadata, lineage, and master data concepts.
 * Experience with tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or similar platforms.
 * Understanding of privacy, regulatory, and data security requirements.
 * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

## Description

Robert Half is working with a client who is looking to hire a Data Governance Lead to establish and mature an enterprise-wide data governance program.

This individual will help define how critical organizational data is classified, owned, documented, protected, and managed. The position will work across technology, security, compliance, analytics, and business teams.

Responsibilities

 * Develop and implement an enterprise data governance framework.
 * Establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.
 * Define data quality standards and monitoring processes.
 * Develop policies around data classification, retention, access, and usage.
 * Build and maintain enterprise business glossaries and data catalogs.
 * Partner with business leaders to identify critical data elements.
 * Work with Security, Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams on data controls.
 * Establish governance processes for analytics and AI initiatives.
 * Lead data governance councils and stakeholder meetings.
 * Define governance KPIs and report program maturity to leadership.
