## About the Role

Support the MDA Next Generation Software Office to accelerate and modernize the development, integration, and delivery of resilient and secure Missile Defense System software - cloud-based development, DevSecOps, and system-of-systems integration and testing.

Clearance: Secret | Level: Principal | Experience: 12+ years | Education: Master's | Location: Huntsville, AL | Type: Full-time, * Active Secret clearance

 * Master's degree in a STEM field with 12+ years working on missile-defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects
 * Design, development, and management of software libraries and cloud-based software architectures and requirements
 * Experience in hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and cloud-based testing to support software development and delivery
 * Experience in management and review of application programming interfaces (APIs), interface control documents (ICDs), and enabling software used in cloud-based and HWIL environments
 * Experience in artificial intelligence development and tooling and agentic operations
 * Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems, * Cloud & containerization - practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure and migrating legacy enterprise applications to cloud-native architectures
 * Agile & DevSecOps - strong working knowledge of Agile and Lean software development within a secure DevSecOps framework
 * Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform, Ansible for reproducible, auditable, secure cloud environments
 * Modern configuration management and version control (e.g., Git) to enforce policy-as-code, baseline management, and compliance
 * Top Secret clearance or the ability to qualify for one
