## About the Role

* Strong Linux administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux or similar)
 * Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure environments
 * Scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python or similar
 * Understanding of networking fundamentals including switching, subnets and VLANs
 * Experience working with virtualized environments
 * Knowledge of system security, hardening and vulnerability remediation
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
 * Security+ or CISSP certification

Desirable Experience

 * Kubernetes, Docker or containerized environments
 * Cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures
 * Puppet, GitLab or other configuration management tools
 * GPFS / IBM ESS
 * Directory services administration
 * Enterprise storage technologies including SAN and Fibre Channel

## Description

As demand across several long-standing programs continues to grow, they are looking to add a Linux Engineer to their Fairfax, VA team. This is an opportunity to work in a large-scale enterprise environment supporting infrastructure that underpins some of the most technically challenging and important missions.

The role offers exposure to both traditional enterprise platforms and modern cloud-native technologies, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems while continuing to develop their technical skillset.

Responsibilites

 * Administering and supporting enterprise Linux environments
 * Maintaining infrastructure across physical, virtual and cloud-based platforms
 * Managing operating system upgrades, patching and security remediation
 * Monitoring system performance, availability and capacity
 * Troubleshooting hardware, operating system and network-related issues
 * Supporting application deployments and infrastructure enhancements
 * Building, testing and validating new server environments
 * Working closely with engineering teams to improve automation, reliability and scalability
