## About the Role

* Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
 * At least 5 years of professional experience in data functional analysis.
 * Hands-on experience with data warehouse modelling, including the Kimball approach.
 * Proven experience in data modelling and in analysing and designing data flows.
 * At least 3 years of practical experience with the Microsoft on-premise stack: SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and Power BI.
 * Solid SQL skills.
 * Previous experience as a data engineer is an asset.
 * Experience with Azure Databricks is a plus.
 * Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
 * Professional command of both national languages, French and Dutch, at minimum B2+ level.
 * Strong presentation skills.
 * Strong conceptual thinking and business understanding.
 * High level of data literacy.
 * Able to translate business needs into technical solutions.
 * Autonomous way of working, with ownership and delivery focus.
 * Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
 * Collaborative mindset, perseverance and flexibility.
 * Eager to learn and open-minded.

In this role, you are responsible for gathering business needs, translating them into functional and technical specifications, and defining the conceptual and logical data model.

Tasks and responsibilities
You will join a multidisciplinary agile data team made up of data engineers, reporting specialists, data functional analysts, project managers, data architects, data quality experts and AI specialists.

 * Facilitate discussions with business subject matter experts to capture data-related needs.
 * Map, analyse and understand business processes and operational and analytical data flows, both incoming and outgoing.
 * Convert business requirements into functional data requirements and technical specifications.
 * Design and validate conceptual and logical data models together with data architects.
 * Prepare the functional design of data developments in close collaboration with data governance, BI technical leads and ICT teams.
 * Work with the Data Protection Officer to ensure GDPR and security compliance.
 * Support and coordinate testing of delivered data products.
 * Inform and guide business users, and help drive adoption of the delivered solutions.
