Extensive experience with any SQL cloud databases like Snowflake/Redshift/ BigQuery/Azure SQL database. Specifically, this role will help the divisional data team (DDT) to understand, manage, and prioritise data engineering and transformation activities. The role is reporting to the Data engineering manager, who is responsible for prioritising, planning, and development of the data engineering and transformation tasks required. This role holder will build close working relationships with the DDT team and business units across our operating geographies and will be responsible for ensuring that technical requirements are clearly understood throughout the project lifecycle, and develop a data warehouse that empowers delivering reporting outputs that meet the needs of our internal customers. Working to support Business Control compliance through technology and responsible for ensuring IT Controls are incorporated into Systems. Maintain and improve existing codebases and conduct peer code review changes. Liaise with team members to implement technical designs. Investigate and utilize new technologies as relevant. Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents to provide pertinent feedback. Provide technical support to customers, solving problems and answering queries. Mentor other development staff members and provide technical assistance as needed. Participate in architecture and code reviews. Support testing and validation activities within data related projects and initiatives.
