## About the Role

* Strong silicon photonics / PIC design experience
 * Successful PIC tape-outs and experience with foundry PDKs
 * Strong knowledge of WDM, AWGs and/or resonant photonic devices
 * Photonic simulation and layout verification experience
 * MSc or PhD in Photonics, Electronic Engineering, Physics or similar
 * Experience with CW-WDM, high-speed optical links, Lumerical, Cadence, Python or MATLAB would be advantageous.

## Description

* Own the WDM architecture, wavelength plan and optical power budget
 * Design and optimize AWGs, micro-rings, filters and multiplexers
 * Develop complex silicon photonic circuits for high-speed optical links
 * Model loss, crosstalk, thermal drift and manufacturing variation
 * Own foundry design reviews, tape-out sign-off and silicon debug
 * Analyse first-silicon results and feed findings into future designs
