## About the Role

This is a fully remote opportunity for someone with 4+ years of commercial software development experience, particularly strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript and cloud technologies., * 4+ years of commercial software development experience

 * Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
 * Strong understanding of modern Back End development, APIs, services and architecture
 * Experience working with AWS or another major cloud platform
 * Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
 * Experience with messaging technologies such as SQS, RabbitMQ or Kafka
 * Good understanding of application security and scalable system design
 * Comfortable working independently and picking up new technologies
 * Strong communication skills and good spoken/written English
 * Someone who enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a positive engineering culture

Desirable

 * AWS cloud-native development
 * Infrastructure as Code
 * Experience within financial services, fintech or another regulated environment
 * Experience working with AI-assisted development tools
 * Experience with coding agents or modern AI development practices

## Description

You'll work as part of a cross-functional engineering team, contributing to the development of new products as well as improving and evolving the existing platform.

Your responsibilities will include:

 * Developing Back End web applications and services using Node.js and TypeScript
 * Designing and developing scalable APIs and services
 * Contributing to architecture and technical decisions
 * Working with event-driven and microservice architectures
 * Working with distributed messaging systems such as SQS, RabbitMQ or Kafka
 * Integrating new technologies and frameworks
 * Supporting and improving existing applications and codebases
 * Working with cloud technologies, particularly AWS
 * Using AI tools across the software development life cycle
 * Contributing to engineering standards and continuous improvement
