The solution will combine manufacturing and financial data from multiple ERP systems and facilities to provide a more accurate view of product costs and profitability. The core costing logic has already been developed primarily in SQL. This architect will evaluate the current approach, recommend the right future-state architecture, and help guide the solution through implementation. The role will also provide direction around data pipelines, integrations, modeling, and the Power BI user experience. This is not a purely strategic architecture role. The ideal candidate can provide technical guidance while remaining involved in design decisions, problem-solving, and implementation., * Evaluate the existing SQL-based costing model, data structure, pipelines, and Power BI approach. * Recommend a practical and scalable architecture based on the work already completed. * Guide technical decisions around SQL, data modeling, integrations, pipelines, and reporting. * Determine where the current solution should be retained, optimized, or redesigned. * Design an approach for combining data across multiple ERP systems, manufacturing facilities, and production processes. * Help maintain traceability as materials, components, labor, overhead, yield, and scrap move through the manufacturing process. * Guide the development of a business-friendly Power BI solution with strong usability, navigation, and drill-down capabilities. * Partner with the Technical Project Manager to define technical priorities, dependencies, resources, and delivery milestones. * Provide technical direction to SQL developers, data engineers, BI developers, and other project resources. * Help resolve complex technical and data issues without continuously rebuilding the solution. * Design the platform to support future ERP integrations, acquired businesses, and additional manufacturing locations. * Remain involved through implementation to ensure the recommended architecture becomes a working production solution.
