## About the Role

* Active US Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
 * Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
 * Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
 * In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
 * Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware in a multi-domain mobile airborne data link, video, and voice systems environment.
 * Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience with Aircraft communication system integration and communications ground/flight test support.
 * Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience with configuration and integration of aircraft RF and satellite communications systems, or cryptographic equipment.

Preferred Additional Skills

 * Knowledge of LAN and VOIP protocols to include IP routing.
 * Knowledge of mission systems: EO/IR, Video, Networks, SI/EW, etc.
 * Model-based Systems Engineering and Simulation experience.
 * Troubleshooting and multi-level testing for RF applications.
 * Knowledge of requirement traceability methods and purpose.
 * Knowledge of the systems engineering trade study process.
 * Experience conducting verification testing.
 * Experience working with subcontractors and U.S. Government customers.
 * Experience developing, authoring, and implementing system test plans.
 * Engineering efforts involving FAA-certified general category aircraft.

## Description

The Specialist, Systems Engineer (SE) performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and troubleshooting for total systems and/or subsystems. The Specialist SE is part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms., * 10% travel based on business needs.

 * Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
 * Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
 * Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
 * Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
 * Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements.
 * Perform requirement traceability.
 * Develop and evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness.
 * Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements.
 * Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs.
 * Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals.
