Knowledge/Skills: * Digitizing, editing, and performing queries in ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, and relational databases. * Online tool development in Esri suite of products (Portal and ArcGIS Online), including Experience Builder and Field Maps. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. * Python, SQL and Esri Arcade language. * Great written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * A keen attention to detail. * A basic understanding of the importance of projections, coordinate systems and datums. ## Description The GIS Analyst focuses on GIS analysis, manages incoming and outgoing data, creates high quality map products and identifies mapping requirements for internal and external parties., * Develop high quality custom maps and reports. * Convert data and conduct GIS analysis. * Create, edit and manage data for a variety of projects. * Perform data analysis and spatial queries. * Design and conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures on mapping and data products. * Conduct evaluations of cartographic and GIS principles. * Address and resolve issues relating to project and/or data. * Liaise with Canacre Field Team on related projects. * Set up internal GIS system including field data collection capabilities and in-house data management systems. * Provide drawings, data and geographic information for various environmental projects and reports. * Create, analyse and maintain vector, raster and tabular data and databases. * Liaise with Canacre departments to deliver quality service. * Perform other duties as required.
