## About the Role

* 5+ years of professional JavaScript development experience
 * 5+ years developing backend applications with Node.js
 * 2+ years working with Express.js or similar backend frameworks
 * Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
 * Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design
 * Solid understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design
 * Experience building applications in the fintech, payments, banking, lending, or marketplace space strongly preferred
 * Comfortable troubleshooting production issues and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams
 * Self-starter who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-moving environment

## Description

* Design and build backend services powering fintech and SaaS products for healthcare customers
 * Develop scalable APIs and database schemas for new product features
 * Build and maintain Node.js applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and security
 * Investigate and resolve production issues in partnership with Customer Support
 * Estimate development effort and proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers
 * Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver new functionality
 * Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices as the platform continues to scale
 * Help shape a rapidly growing product roadmap while working in a high-performance, collaborative engineering culture
